August 6, 2005 National Gymnastics Day

11 of our girls performed at the Galleria Mall. We had a great time. The audience was just swept off their feet. All donations ($36) will go to the Children's Miracle Network.

2005 Future Star: Michelle

Congratualtions to Michelle who was selected 2005 Future Star by USAG. She will travel to the Lake Placid Olympic Training Center for a National Future Stars Training Camp in December.

We had a short exhibition at Sienna. It was very hot and by the end rainy. Thank you for all the girls who came and did routines.

No Gym Due to Hurricane Rita

There will be no workout on September 22, 23, 24. Be safe if you need a place to stay call me on my cell phone. Take care! See y'all on Monday.

Gym is back!

Rita left! We are ready to workout. Tuesday (September 27) we have workout from 3-7 whoever would like to come. Normal practice starts on Wednesday (September 28). I hope that everyone is safe and back at home. Thank you very much for the phone calls to check on each other. See you soon at the gym!!!

Halloween Meet and Pumpkin Carving party

Our first annual friendly Halloween meet and pumking carving party is on October 29 at 4:00-7:00pm at Southwest Cheer Academy. Everyone is welcome to participate.

We're going to Dallas!

The Dallas Cowboys have invited Rhythmic Attitudes to perform at the Thanksgiving Day halftime show.

Yoga Class Dec. 3 9-10 am

We are going to have a yoga instructor on December 3rd at 9-10 am. I would like to have all the girls participate. This is a great time to experience soemthing new. The yoga lesson is donated by one of our parents. Thank you very much.

Professional Pictures

Dear Parents. We have an opportunity to take some professional pictures of our girls. I would like to have all gymnasts participate. I would like you to think about it and get back with me. I will need a $85 check by December 1st, 2005 which will give you a CD with all your child's picture with FULL rights so you can print your own. In order to maintain the cost of $85 everyone must participate. If I do not have everyone's check by December 1st, then I will just return your checks to you.

Dallas Cowboys' Thanksgiving Half Time Show Pictures!

We had an amazing time in Dallas. The girls started the first Cheryl Crow song on the field. For 2 minutes they were the main show (well beside Cheryl Crow singing on the stage :-). It was great to see them on the big screen. It was a non forgettable experience and we hope that other clubs get to enjoy exhibition like this. Christmas Workout Schedule

I hope that you all had a great Christmas. This week I will be at the gym 12/27 – 12/29 from 9am -6 pm at the Safety America location. I would like to have all our girls to use this camp time to improve on their routines. We are going to have our post-Christmas meet on 12/30 at 5pm.

L.A.Lights International Meet

Arianna, Tanya, Shelby, Michelle, and Olesya competed at the 2006 L.A. Lights Invitational, the largest international meet held in the U.S.

Childrens' Festival Exhibition

Rhythmic Attitudes of Houston is performing an exhibition at the Childrens' Festival Downtown Houston on April 2nd at the McDonald's Fitness Stage from 1:00-1:30pm. See you there!

We hosted the 2006 USAIGC Southwest Regional competition on Saturday May 27th. About 20 girls participated to get an evaluation of their progress.

2006 Junior Olympics

WE HAD MADE HISTORY!!!!!!!!!! Arianna placed 3rd in ribbon at the Junior Olympics in level 6. She gpt 31st place all around. Tanya our level 7 placed 12th on floor and 30th all around. Good job girls! Ready for the next season?!?!?

NO GYM June 11-18

Due to a family emergency, gym will be closed from June 11-18th. Gym will resume as normal on June 19th. You can check the website for any changes or updates. Thank you for understanding.

Training Camp

August 7-11, 10am - 6 pm. Bring lunch and plenty of liquid. The girls will learn all their strength and flexibility exercises for the upcomming season. I hope to see everyone!!!

Cats won!

Cats won over pumpkins this year! Cats great job, and pumpkins, there is always a next year to try again! Congratulations to Sophia and Leeah who won the 2 special award for their most impressive routines.

Parents, please check the weather before you are leaving your house to bring your child to gym. Today January 16 we are having regular workout. If the weather gets very cold I will close down earlier. Feel free to call me to check, or use your best judgment.

Meets

Rhythmic Attitudes is hosting the Local (Feb. 24) the TX State (April 7) and the Region VI (April 21-22) competitions. We will need many volunteers, please if you are available to help give me a call. There is a volunteer list posted on the dance room door, so check it out.

Gasparilla Classics

Three of our gymnasts traveled to St. Petersburg to compete at the Gasparilla Classics invitational meet. They all did a great job. Keep it up your hard work! Poor Tanya got very very sick, so on the second day she did 2 exhibition routines. You are such a trooper. We are very proud of you.

2007 TX State Meet

What a great meet! Congratulations to all competitors. Especially to the five State Champions. Thank you very much for all the help from the parents. You all made this meet a very successful one! The results can be found here.

It is a "flexible" Baby Girl !!!

Congratulations to Lyn, one of our ex gymnast for giving birth to a healthy baby girl. She came out in a split, so we have high hopes for her future :-)

2007 Junior Olympics

Congratulations to our girls for your participation at the JO Championships. Some of us did great, for others it was a very challenging meet. The US rhythmic gymnasts quality has increased tremendously that our results are still very impressive.

Michelle made it to Level 10!

The results are in from the Western Championships, and Michelle M. made it to Level 10! She has placed 8th all around at Western 7th on ribbon. Combined both competition Michelle's scores qualified her to be the 14th best of the US at the highest Olympic level. Congratulations!

2008 Rhythmic Championships in Houston

The 2008 Visa Rhythmic Championships are in Houston this year!

Happy New Years!

We performed an exhibition at a Chinese New Year celebration. The audience was stunned by the talent of our girls. They took pictures with them and invited then back again. The Houston Chronicle and the Chinese TV station were also very interested! GO GIRLS!

Gymnastics Dance Class Camp

We had a great success at the class camp. The girls did tumbling, rhythmic gymnastics, jazz, ballet and cheerleading.

The Honor Roll School

Rhythmic Attitudes now offers classes for The Honor Roll School attendees. For 3-4 years old girls Mondays 3:00-3:45 and 4:00-4:45.

Fall Session Classes start Sept. 15th !

As you are aware, the gymnastics classes your child was taking had to be canceled starting in mid July. I apologize for this inconvenience. I was admitted to the hospital for 3 weeks with complications during my pregnancy. Fortunately both my baby and I are now fine, although he is fairly premature.

NO GYM DUE TO IKE

There will be no classes until further notice. The gym has no power. Check back to see when we can start again.
